A three-paragraph letter that opens with a specific detail about the company (not about you), highlights one concrete accomplishment with numbers, and ends with 'Open to a 30-minute conversation next Tuesday or Thursday afternoon.' It's under 250 words and uses the job description's own language.
how to know it worked

You'll know it worked because the letter has exactly three paragraphs, mentions something specific about the company in the first paragraph, includes at least one number or metric, and never says 'I am writing to express my interest' or references your resume.
